The Bayou Boogaloo is a free admission music and visual arts festival held in the heart of
New Orleans on the banks of the Bayou St John.
The Bayou Boogaloo was started in
2006 to restore the social fabric of Mid-City and the surrounding neighborhoods in the
wake of hurricane Katrina, to reconnect neighbors and neighborhoods, and to provide
hope for the future of New Orleans through a celebration of New Orleans' rich cultural
heritage.
It features well know local entertainers, and a variety of music. Of course the
local restaurants and caterers provide a great selection of food stands and a huge art
exhibit will top it off.
Come on down, and enjoy yourselves.
