There are many, many maps and guides to the French Quarter, most of which are useless.
Try reading one at night, or after you have had a couple too many.
Try driving on a one way, very narrow street with a map in one hand and someone honking
behind you. Then throw in a horse and carriage, some street closures (due to partying)
and a roving tour group to boot. Now your getting the proper perspective on traveling
through the Quarter by foot or by car.
